The Music Of Love

(1984)

The Music Of Love‘ is a studio album featuring 18 popular love songs and original titles by Paul de Senneville.

This was the first album to be recorded for specifivally for Decca Records and featured in the UK album charts for more than 20 weeks.

While this album was the last only to be available on vinyl and cassette, many of the tracks have since been released on CD and can be downloaded via iTUNES and SPOTIFY.

Highlight tracks include:
‘Memory’, ‘Flashdance’, ‘The Thorn Birds’, ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ and ‘Chariots Of Fire’.

For a long time I have been keen to record a collection of the world’s most popular love songs: The music of love is a selection of some of my favourites from the last fifty years. Most of them you will know well: which made recording them a doubly exciting experience. I hope I have done justice to some of the world’s most popular composers.

It was a great honour to then be asked to film a six part television series based around these songs. The filming took place in and around some most beautiful country houses and castles in Scotland: only majestic locations could do justice to these classic songs.

This has been a very special project for me, which, I hope you will enjoy listening to as much as I have recording it.
